The Last Hour of Gann

Rave 💖

I had read {Land of the Beautiful Dead by R. Lee Smith} and loved it. It’s one of my top five favorites. {The Last Hour of Gann} was highly recommended, yet it stayed in my TBR for over a year because *shrug* aliens? I don’t know. I’m just past half way through and it’s so effin’ amazing! Slow burn, long form, completely immersive, definitely swoon worthy and anxiety inducing. The first night reading I was up until 2am, woke up at 6am and started reading again. Every single spare moment I’m in it. I rarely take more than two days to read a book, but 1413 pages needs more time. I thought it would at least have some repetitive lulls, but no. At page 982 I’m enthralled. I know where I’m going to be headspace wise in two days. Any suggestions for a light hearted read for recovery followed by something in a similar writing style/general feel? Also, kindly, those that have read this, please gush!
