I'm planning a move to British Columbia, but everything I know about the province so far comes from YouTube videos.

I'm looking to relocate through the rural settlement program. It seems like the climate is great and there are plenty of job opportunities, (but I'm not 100% sure about that yet). I'd love to hear from long-time locals, what kind of challenges do newcomers usually run into? Are there any absolute must-knows before making the move out there?
