[Gen 3] I just accidentally one shotted the first ever shiny i have encountered in 20+ years of playing Pokemon

I am fucking devastated here... i just encountered my first every shiny pokemon in 20 years of playing Pokemon while replaying FireRed... a shiny Psyduck. I thought i would use a weak move to lower its health to catch it... CRITICAL HIT! ONE SHOT THE BASTARD! MY 1 IN 8200 CHANCE TO CATCH A SHINY JUST GONE AND I DIDNT EVEN TAKE A PICTURE OF IT! 😭😭😭
