The weird kids?

Does anyone else get irritated by the weird kids and then feel guilty about it later? I know that a lot of the weirdness comes from social skills deficits or neurodivergence, but I’m so burnt out on kids walking up and info dumping on me. Like dude, IDGAF about the “novel” you’re writing, and I definitely don’t need daily updates. Of course I do my best to hide the irritation, and I do feel bad for these kids because they probably don’t have anyone else who will listen. I just need to hear I’m not alone! (FWIW, these are high schoolers.)
