I'm not too sure what the difference is between the ambulance companies?

As I have no experience and am a EMT-B I have 0 knowledge of ambulance companies. Any insights or is it as simple as I should just apply to everything see that's says I'll be on an ambulance. I want to be a paramedic after I get some experience.
