How I would have booked the InVasion
One of my issues with The InVasion angle was that there were literally only 15 WCW guys prior to the ECW Alliance -- in comparison WWE had 65+ active male wrestlers on it's roster, and the OVW crew (Cena, Lesnar, Orton, Batista, Shelton, Rico, ect) were traveling with the main roster, working dark matches. The WCW buyout actually pushed back their debuts by about a year.
No matte how you book an InVasion angle, it's always going to be shit without equal roster numbers. So, that's what this is. Me trying to equalize the rosters.
I guess I would done the following:
- Hogan vs Booker T (Title vs Title WMX7)
- Hogan brings his belt from Bash at the Beach 2000
- Hogan wins, then disappears until the nWo's return at WMX8
- The original plan of WCW being it's own promotion is executed
- WCW runs it's own shows separate from WWE; US Title is its top prize
- Vince & Shane rematch at SummerSlam, Vince wins, and "cancels" WCW
- InVasion happens -- Linda Gives WCW Raw, WWE goes to Smackdown
- Brands run separate, but InVasions happen every show.
- Survivor Series happens for total supremacy -- Vince wins.
- WCW is killed off, Flair angle still happens. Makes even more sense now.
- Flair slowly but surely brings back WCW's Top Guys. Like one every show.
- Vince brings in Bischoff and The nWo -- WCW belt included
- Henning, Goldust, Dusty, & Piper return at the '02 Rumble
- Rock wins Rumble to become WWE Champion (not to get a shot)
- Hogan vs Rock at WMX8 for the first undisputed championship.
- If Hogan wins, Flair sells ownership stock to Vince -- all WCW guys fired.
- Rock ends up winning, and the first Draft happens the Raw After WrestleMania, where all the WCW guys are brought back.
- Roster Cuts happen super quick, so WCW guys better impress.

^(Top Stars, All On Turner Contracts. I would have bought out the first three without compromise, Flair's was almost over anyhow. 4-10 I would have given them 50 on the Dollar, on top of a guaranteed contract. I'm taking into account the fact that I would not have been aware of Scott's Drop Foot issue.)
Main Event:
- Sting ($$$)
- Goldberg ($$$)
- Flair ($)
- Scott Steiner
- Booker T
- DDP
- Buff Bagwell
- Rey Mysterio
- Billy Kidman
- Konann
- Great Muta
- Alex Wright
My Upper Mid-Card is comprised of people with enough overall skills (in ring, promo, name value) to potentially break through to the upper card, or at least maintain their spots. Except for Duggan, but he'd be used to ressurect the TV title, and also he'd be put in a mini-feud with Austin over it, on account that Austin was forced to drop the belt to Duggan and then fired -- it's a built in storyline.
