My US Passport process

On March 13th, 2026 I brought my birth certificate, ID, and paperwork to the USPS for my appointment. They took my picture, asked me a couple questions and processed it. They said expect 4-6 weeks for your passport, your paperwork will be separate after your passport is sent. I received an email letting me know it was being processed on March 24th, 2026. Today April 9th, 2026 it was changed from "In Process" to "Shipped", but no email letting me know, I just happened to check and it said it was shipped (today) and gave me a tracking number. It says I should have it no later than April 14th.

That would be 1 month and 1 day total time, with no expedited service of any kind.

Overall it has been a very easy process, and I am glad that I finally got it done. Now, I can finally plan that trip I have always dreamed about.
