Dell School Laptop Bitlocker Key

Hello, everyone I would appreciate some help as im kind of old and not good with computers. So I have the blue bitlocker recovery screen and its stuck there. Now the problem is it was given to me by my college and my school email doesnt work anymore so I have no chance of getting the key. Now im thinking of resetting the computer from the blue screen I dont mind losing all the files. Would that work? Now I searched earlier about this and its super confusing and has all these terms I have no clue about. Is there an easy straight forward way to fix this/get around it? Hopefully yall say resetting the computer will fix it. Thanks and I appreciate it.
