I’m late 40s with combo skin and the oiliest eyelids in the world. All my life I’ve struggled to do any kind of eye makeup because this is the result. I’m so damn frustrated.

I’ve tried different eyeshadows, formulations, primers, setting sprays, fixing sprays and the result is always the same.

This is from this morning. My eye makeup has been on two hours and I’ve been in air conditioning.

Products on cleansed skin:

Hourglass eye primer

(Foundation and concealer not on lids)

Mecca max eyeshadow y2k

Mecca max brown eyed girl eyeliner

Charlotte Tilbury setting spray

One/size on til dawn fixing spray.

Is this a completely lost cause? Is there something I’m doing wrong? Is this a technique thing?

I’ve had marginally better luck with the rare beauty cream shadow sticks - and by that I mean they last a few more hours before disappearing but they don’t crease as badly as this. I’ve tried the Mecca zoom sticks, Bobbi brown, byterri, Mac paint pots…. And I can’t get it to work. Everything creases, disappears and looks horrendous after an hour or two.

I’m just so frustrated. At this point I think I’d look better if I didn’t wear eye makeup at all, which is devastating because I love makeup so much. Should I consider an upper bleph to tighten the skin on my lids? I tried tixel which did nothing. 😞

Any other suggestions?? 😞😭😭

I’m so frustrated with my eye makeup. How can I make it last?
