Suggestions for things to do!

I just booked a month long trip to China and am looking for suggestions for best things to do in the cities I’m visiting. I’m very into food, hiking, live music, politics, and history. I’m staying in Beijing for 5 days, xi’an for 4 days, Chengdu for 11 days, and Chongqing for 4 days. Thanks :)
