What do you think?
Should law schools introduce a small number of prerequisite courses? Not a full pre-law track or anything that restricts what applicants can major in, but just a few basic classes? The idea wouldn’t be to limit diversity in academic backgrounds, but to add a light filter so that applicants are more genuinely interested in pursuing law. Even a couple of required courses might discourage people who are only considering law as a fallback or for salary reasons, while still keeping the door open for students from a wide range of degrees. Would this actually improve the applicant pool, or just create unnecessary barriers?
