Can we talk about System Files ruinning users' lives?

I'm drowning in System Files, and I've had to give up video games, music, films, apps...

I've done everything. I've cleared caches. I've restarted. I've chequed containers, var, every corner of the Library. There is simply no space unaccounted for.

When there was only 2 Gigs left tonight, while I was trying to remove tangible files, the System files bloated up fom 76GB to 96GB!!! There simply was no accounting for what it is.

I have a reboot that weighs 8Gigs when it shouldn't, but it still is localized and identified, and there's still no accounting for it.

Say what you want, that it doesn't matter, etc... It still bloody well does, as some room is definitely be taken and I don't know what to do.

I've removed enough things to get MacOS to download the latest update to 26.4, it a desperate bid that it will flush bugged out update logs or .dmg that remains unseen.

I haven't tried restoring the whole file system, and shy of a total reboot, I don't see what I can do.

ALL the Youtube videos and ALL the disk utility software are utterly useless btw.
