I never thought my life would have so much intention even though I'm not "practicing" yet

Amateur/still learning appreciation post 💜 Apologies if the formatting breaks as I was copy & pasting things around on mobile

I've gone through therapy after therapy service, almost all which are available near me. I did have a therapist I saw for a few months who'd turned me towards Carl Jung. After reading some of his books I thought "Damn, I used to have such a misunderstanding of alchemy", and how it relates to early medicinal practices, which resulted in a huge misunderstanding of witchcraft and herbology.

I still, for a long time, had a misunderstanding of magick and 'manifestation' and other related ritual based beliefs and behaviours.

Until I realised I was basically enacting a form of divination through much of the self driven therapeutic work I was doing post services.

After joining a couple subs here on Reddit and properly understanding how what we call magick is understanding the energetic fields of existence and attempting to manipulate it somehow, for some reason (unique to the caster obviously).

I now have such a great appreciation for all that I have realised in just the last 6 months. Initially I'd just read various websites, understanding the differences between Wicca and closed practices. I bought a tarot deck and began doing self readings with different kinds of spreads, noting down the results in a notebook. Now I'm taking some time to write briefly about each card so I don't have to keep referring to my phone so much.

I'd received a pretty gemmed chest for Christmas and thought it perfect for storing any magick related items. I cleansed the inside and outside and love to take it out and have many ingredients in airtight containers ready for when I may next need them.

I am considering trying to make a charm bag to keep with me. I always have pockets on my trousers so it'll be perfect to sit by my root chakra.

This type of practical, specifically outwardly intentive way of putting your faith in creations of this world, and noticing when your good faith is returned to you, has really helped me in stabilising my mental health by fully trusting that I have my parts to play, the world outside has it's part, and there is also the unseen energetic/physics part that influences things, I believe can be very very effective for certain kinds of people.

I am glad to have an online friend I can chat with about things like this, other than her it's just these subs and everybody is always super kind here
