What do you do while your candles burn?

Maybe this is dumb, but I’ve been practicing since I was a young teen, my mother taught me the basics before she kind of left the craft behind, so I learn from books, trial and error, etc.

So my question is, what do you do while the candle burns down? Do you watch it for hours? Do you go about your day and check on it? What’s your method(s)??
