NSFWSpoilerM4F Pennsylvania / Online

Hi everyone, this is Neil! I've been making a post on here every few weeks, adjusting the contents of the post depending on what feels like might be more successful at finding who/what I'm looking for on here than my previous posts when it comes to making online friends/finding a romantic partner online. I'm trying it this time in a format that I find to be both more specific with what I do want and less demanding with what I don't want than some of my previous posts on here, hoping that any issues between us can be worked out if an otherwise good foundation is established from the beginning. NSFW/trigger warning just to be safe.

I am a 29-year-old (turning 30 in July) White man with either blondish-brown or brownish-blonde hair, hazel eyes, am about five feet and seven inches tall, and I am on the autism spectrum, so I feel more immature than a lot of other people my age in some areas and more mature than a lot of other people my age, and perhaps a handful of people older than my age, in other areas. I live in West Reading, Pennsylvania, and I work in my local hospital's human resources department. It's not a very intensive job due to only really having to work for 20 hours a week most weeks. I have my own apartment in West Reading, but don't drive, and I still rely on my parents for a handful of things. I also don't drink alcohol, or really any drink other than white milk or water. I ran an anime club at my local library from the spring of 2023 to the spring of 2025, but shut it down due to the friends I made in it not being able to come as much. I also like to write original stories, draw characters from those original stories, and edit videos about those original stories, but I feel as of late that I like thinking about my stories more than actually working on them. I used to want to make these ideas into actual TV shows, but I decided that I'd rather produce something locally and smaller-scale for one of these original stories if I'm going to produce something for them at all. My current primary age range for this is 20-40.

First, these are the things I am a fan of in an on-the-whole positive way, and people who are fans of one or more of the following things are one of the kinds of people I'd like to meet through here. The things I'm a fan of in this way are-

-Animorphs

-Castlevania

-Gintama

-Komi Can't Communicate

-Moral Orel

-Mulan

-My Hero Academia

-Neptunia

-Pokemon

-RWBY

-Scott Pilgrim

-South Park

-Spider-Man

-Star Trek: Lower Decks

Next, these are my particular not-quite-fandoms (NQFs) and anti-fandoms (AFs). I can't simply call myself "not a fan" of them, because they're not merely things that don't appeal to me and I therefore don't watch them, as that applies to most media in general for me. These are things that I'm really bothered by not only due to their content and how they handle many of their themes, but because of how many fans it feels like they have in spite of their foundational flaws, something that I feel like I could deal with easier if I knew someone who had similar feelings on at least one of them, and they feel that way because of their own experiences, and not only because of me being their only source of information on these things. It's one of those things where being agreed with feels better when it's by someone who has prior knowledge of what you're talking about and came to similar conclusions on their own. I don't want to be so reflexively negative about things like this, but I feel like that could be easier with having someone in my life that organically agrees with me in this way on at least one media work. These are the things that I want to talk to people who either know about them and dislike them for whatever reason or are ex-fans of them who used to like one or more of these things before a negative experience with the media work in question, the fandom, and/or someone that worked on one of the media works in question made you feel like you couldn't be a fan of the media work in question anymore in good conscience. The things I'm an NQF and/or AF of that I would want to meet fellow NQFs

-Dead End: Paranormal Park

-Drawn Together

-Gravity Falls

-Helluva Boss (and Vivziepop/Hellaverse on the whole to a lesser extent)

-The works of James Gunn

-Knights of Guinevere (and Glitch Productions/indie animation on the whole to a lesser extent)

-Mr. Birchum

-The Owl House

-The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder

-Rick and Morty (season 4 onward, as I still have fond memories of the first three seasons, so I might be more picky with why someone is an NQF/AF of R&M than I would be with anything else I listed in this section)

-She-Ra and the Princesses of Power

-Alternatively, I would be interested in talking with someone who is a fan of Dead End, Gravity Falls, Hellaverse, James Gunn, Knights of Guinvere, Owl House, Proud Family, Rick and Morty, and/or She-Ra, but is also a religious/spiritual person and/or politically identifies as something other than left-wing, because I would like to learn how someone can reconcile fandoms and aspects of personal identity that seem at odds, and maybe someone could show me why they're not actually at odds.

Politically, I'm all over the place, and I don't think there are any particular issues I champion, and I'm more just put off by absolutist statements- in any direction- about issues like AI, Israel-Palestine, the goodness of Christianity, and the acceptability of political violence and the subsequent celebration of it (which are pretty much all of the main "Reddit" political issues, and my distaste for absolutist statements of any kind in those areas could probably be solved by simply not allowing as much of the political content in my frame of reference, or any of it, to be filtered through Reddit, and instead talk with real people in the real world about these things, because Reddit makes the more absolutist and uncompromising stances on these things look more like mainstream positions than they actually are). However, the more political/religious/autism-related stances I'm interested in hearing from people because I'm curious about them are-

-People who know about the works and readings of Friedrich Hayek and can find some good ideas in them (I haven't read anything from Hayek, but would like to learn more about him than what the big quotes by him offer from someone who does)

-Someone who identifies as both LGBTQIA+ and politically as something that's not left-wing (I'm not LGBTQIA+, and how "not left-wing" I am is definitely on a case-by-case basis, but I feel like I could have an insightful conversation with someone of this particular combination regardless)

-Someone who has two to six of the following traits- Black, Jewish, LGBTQIA+, male, neurodivergent, and/or otaku (my longest-gestating original story has a protagonist for whom all of these traits apply, and he's very emotionally complex, so maybe I could talk with such a person about some good and bad ideas when it comes to writing this character)

-A Mormon, a faith I'd like to learn more about

-Someone with a lot of knowledge of the history of the Roman Republic, which is something I'd like to learn more about

-Someone who identifies as/has been diagnosed as autistic or otherwise neurodivergent, or who knows someone who's autistic or neurodivergent well, but feels at odds with the broader autistic/neurodivergent communities, or at least online ones, for one reason or another

So just to recap, I'm looking for someone who is a fan of one or more of the 14 things I said I was a fan of, AND/OR a not-quite-fan, anti-fan, ex-fan, not-left-wing-identifying fan, or religious/spiritual fan of one or more of the 11 things I said I was a not-quite-fan or anti-fan of, AND/OR someone who knows of and doesn't completely dislike the works and writings of Fredrich Hayek, AND/OR a not-left-wing-identifying LGBTQIA+ person, AND/OR a Mormon or someone familiar with and respectful of Mormons, AND/OR someone familiar with the history of the Roman Republic, AND/OR identifies as/has been diagnosed as autistic/neurodivergent but feels like they struggle to connect with other members of the autistic community, AND/OR is any combination of male, Black, Jewish, LGBTQIA+, autistic, and/or otaku and would want to read my original stories with a protagonist with a similar combination of traits.

Any other particular traits you may have I'll wait to make judgments about until they come up naturally. If we connect well enough over one or more of the things I mentioned in this post, most other things shouldn't be issues.

It's not often you see RWBY and Hayek mentioned in the same post as draws for making friends/finding romance. Oh, the duality of man.

I can communicate over Reddit chat, Discord, or phone text, but it should probably start on Reddit chat regardless. I'd like whoever I talk to to introduce themselves with what topic they'd like to discuss the most of the ones I listed here and their opinion on it. Once we've talked about that a little, then I'd like to start to talk about different parts of our lives. I hope to hear from someone soon! Have a good day regardless!
