my dog is occasionally coughing. something may be stuck.

I have a 7yo Westie who has a bad habit of not chewing his food.

I gave him some pizza crust earlier and I broke it up into little pieces about a half an inch or less.

That was hours ago and he was fine then about an hour and a half ago I gave him some celery but hes usually pretty good at chewing that because it's his favorite treat.

Now he's been coughing/hacking like something stuck in his throat. it only happening when he's running around.

I did a finger sweep, gave him a tbs of coconut oil and I did the Heimlich.

he's kinda "hiding" but if I go in to check him he grabs his toy and wants to play, running makes him cough more so I'm not doing it with him.

his gums are pink and he seems otherwise fine. I really cant afford an emergency visit if not​ absolutely necessary.

is it going to digest/pass or is it possible to get worse.
