Really at a loss at what's causing my SOB 37F
37F, 195 lbs, 5'5"
I had breast reduction surgery on 3/30. Healing has been going well so far but on Tuesday night I got really short of breath taking my sweater off before bed. I was able to sleep well that night but yesterday when I got up, I was again very SOB with exertion and it would only go away after resting for 5+ minutes.
I let my surgeon know and they told me to go to the ER to rule out a PE which we did with a CTA. I've had no chest pain, so lower leg swelling, redness, or pain. My CBC and CMP were both fairly normal. My RBC(3.4), WBC (2.25), and HCT(3.27) were slightly low but that's normal for me with the meds I've been on. My glucose was also a bit low (73) but went up to 130 after drinking cranberry juice.
My HR goes up into the 90's to low 100's when I get up and move around. My activity level has been normal since the surgery with walking multiple times a day so I don't think it's deconditioning. My incisions look good, no drainage or signs of infection. My first post op with my surgeon's PA is on Tuesday. I tried to get in to see my PCP today but she's out until the 21st and my only option is to see the NP on Saturday.
I'm just at a loss as to what is going on and thought I'd ask the hivemind. I know I'm a complicated patient and honestly a bit of a hot mess. Sorry for the essay, just wanted to include everything.
