Best Map for ASA Private Server with Friends

Longtime ASE player returning and picking up ASA to make a small private server with friends. We had previously played on Fjodur and on Valguero on ASE but was interested in Lost Colony since it seems to have more progression systems. However, I've heard its performance is awful. Is it worth for small server or does it still need fixes to make it run?

Also are there any other maps people would recommend for a small group of friends to play on?
