Loss prevention (someone getting fired)

I am new here at Walgreens and I was recently told by my shift lead that one of our employee is getting fired tomorrow. He has been using customer’s coupons for his own transaction. Apparently LP checked his coupons used in his Walgreen account.

Like how does this work? I thought they only check stuff on camera. I don’t even know how LP will fire someone? We have truck day and everyone is gonna be at the store.
