Is there any reason to delay in buying sets? Will they be upgraded/changed?

In one of Jang's videos (I think it was for the Mountain Observatory) he mentioned that Lumibricks is going to make changes to their minifigures based on feedback. Is this only for new future sets or will existing sets be changed?
