QC Guide
This guide will help you understand how to do a proper QC (Quality Check) before asking the community for help.
What to include in a QC post
Always try to include:
- Item name
- Brand
- Seller
- Batch (if known)
- Clear QC pictures
- Size information if relevant
- What looks off to you
Do not just ask “GL or RL?” without giving context. A good QC post shows that you already looked at the item yourself.
What to check
When reviewing an item, pay attention to:
- Shape and overall proportions
- Logo placement and size
- Stitching quality
- Material and texture
- Alignment and symmetry
- Tags, embroidery, and small details
- Color accuracy compared to retail
- Sole shape or backtab shape for sneakers if relevant
How to improve at QC
The best way to get better at QC is to compare different batches, study retail references, and learn from detailed reviews posted by experienced members.
Ask yourself:
- What exactly looks wrong?
- Is the flaw noticeable in hand or only in close-up QC photos?
- Is it a batch flaw or just a minor variation?
- Would this matter to you personally?
Before asking for help
Before making a QC post, make sure you have:
- Looked at the item yourself first
- Compared it with retail photos if possible
- Checked whether the flaw has already been mentioned in old posts
- Included enough information for others to help you
Final note
QC is a skill. The more effort you put into learning it, the better your hauls will be and the less you will need to rely on others for every single item.
