AITAH for assuming my friend knows what restaurant we’re going after the movies?

Hey, I’m in my mid 20’s prefer not to say my name for privacy reasons.

AITAH for not telling my friend what restaurant we’re going after the movies? Basically what happened was we went out to go watch a movie with our friends and after the movies we all decided to eat since it was already 9pm and all of us were famished. This is where things went south, There’s this restaurant that we all love to go to but here’s the catch the restuarant has 2 branches. One is 2 minutes drive from the cinema and the other one is 18 minutes drive away. So we collectively said “let’s meet at (resturant name)” he said “i’ll go first so i can reserve us a table” we then went on our way to the restaurant about 5-7 minutes after he left. When we went there we were shocked as to why he wasn’t there when he left the theatre first. I ended up calling him and asked where he was he said “i am sitting at our table” i said “we’re here we dont see you?” He said “are you guys at the other location?” I said “yeah cause its 2 minutes drive from the cinema we figured we’d save the drive and go to the nearest” he said “nevermind. I’ll just go home, y’all embarassed me”. We were shocked to say the least, we just thought he’d go to the closest one instead of the 18 minutes one. Are we the assh***?
