Atelier Rorona - Menu Lag Help

Hi! I decided to start Atelier Rorona today and I'm having issues with laggy menus. To be specific, when I open up the menu, there is 2-3 seconds of lag before it opens. I tried both the Atelier Sync Fix and the Atelier Graphics Tweak and neither of them solved the issue, so I'm wondering if I did anything wrong or if I'm just going to have to live with laggy menus.

I also know that apparently there's a problem with menus being slow in other Atelier games, most notably Ayesha, but I've played the Dusk, Mysterious, and Secret games and this is the first time I've had problems with menu lag that's THIS bad.
