Considering picking this up today, would cost me a week of labor, seeking truthful opinions

i just graduated high school literally 2 days ago and i wanted to treat myself with a new game. i’ve been eyeing starfield since i’m really into space and sci-fi games, and i’ve seen a bunch of youtube content about the new update. because of regional pricing it’s 40 usd for me, which is basically a week of labor here (different countries, different economies). so before i commit, i wanted to ask:

is starfield actually good for long-term play

how long did you guys play before it started feeling repetitive or boring

i don’t want to drop 40 bucks just to drop the game after a couple of days since i won’t be buying another game anytime soon. thanks for any feedback!
