Did anyone think it was really bizarre Tony didn't know about Ercole the whole time?

Even if Johnny and Junior wouldn't tell him about Ercole, surely Tony's other relatives (Livia, Janice, Barbara, Tony B) would have known and told Tony about him? Or see some old photos of him? I have a really hard time believing they kept him a secret from Tony for over 40 years.
