Confused about Workday titles: Which one is the “real” visible title Position Title or Job Profile?

I’m confused about how Workday titles work.

For example, say the position title is “Technical Coordinator,” but the job profile/classification title is “Software Engineer” I was told that both will appear in Workday, not sure if they mean on the backend or front end.

Here are my questions:

- When coworkers search for someone internally, which title do they usually see first?

- Can they also see the job profile title?

- For resumes/LinkedIn, is it acceptable to use the job profile title if that’s the official classification?

- And if a future employer verifies employment, which title typically gets reported back?
