Safe to park my car w valuables in it during the day in Ohio City?
Hi all,
Tourist here hoping to catch a Guardians game this summer. There’s a 1pm game on the day I fly in, and looks like the cheapest option in terms of parking is parking in Ohio City and walking across the bridge, which I don’t mind doing.
However, I’ll have a rental car and be coming straight from the airport before heading to my sister’s place a ways out of town after the game. I’m used to Columbus area frequency of car break-ins, so I’m a bit worried about having my valuables in the trunk of the rental car in that part of town while I’m at the game, even in broad daylight. Not sure if Cleveland suffers from this issue as well or if it’s purely a Columbus thing.
Is it a decent neighborhood, or should I be worried about the safety of my personal belongings while I’m at the game? Would parking in one of the closer, yet more expensive lots be safer?
