Dearrrrrrrr
I'm here again, writing for you because I know today wasn’t easy.
Doing that thing?
That wasn’t just a simple click.
That was you choosing to let go of something you held onto for so long, even when it was already hurting you.
And I need you to understand this. I’m really proud of you.
Not in a loud, celebratory way
but in that quiet, steady kind of way…
because I know how much that took from you.
I know a part of you is still wondering if you did the right thing.
If maybe you should’ve held on a little longer,
said one more thing, tried one more time.
But listen to me
you’ve already tried enough.
You gave more than enough chances, more than enough understanding, more than enough of yourself.
At some point, choosing yourself isn’t giving up
it’s finally refusing to be the only one fighting.
And I know… I know it still hurts.
You’re not just letting go of a person.
You’re letting go of what you hoped it could still be.
That version of them. That version of you. That version of us you held onto.
Of course it’s going to hurt.
But don’t confuse pain with regret.
You can hurt and still be right.
You can miss them and still know you deserve better.
You can feel empty right now…
and still be making the best decision for yourself.
So if today feels heavy, let it be.
You don’t have to pretend you’re okay.
Just don’t go back.
Because you already know what’s waiting for you there.
Stay here.
Stay with yourself this time.
You’ve spent so long choosing someone else
let this be the moment you finally choose you.
I’m here.
And you’re going to be okay.
Maybe not all at once…
but slowly, quietly, surely, you will, my dear.
-from someone who sees you.
