Why are people so hung up on what happens in this life?

Question

I read a post recently about people being upset with God because of the things that other people do. Being upset because of the evil in the world. Blaming Him for every bad thing that has ever happened. Saying that he’s indifferent to the suffering of humans. I truly believe that we are not here for ourselves. Yes, we may go through traumas we may experience terrible things because of other people, but I don’t believe he doesn’t see us or care. I truly believe that things may happen, but at the end of the day, why does it really matter what happens in this life if there is an eternity that’s promised to be better than anything we could ever hope or dream of?

There’s also the fact that we’re told time and time again, not to lean on our own understanding, so why do people put human logic on Yahweh?

Just curious of people’s thoughts. And if you really don’t believe I’m not looking for a response from you because no offense but genuinely just don’t think you’d get it. Feel free to respond anyway because your response would also be interesting
