He tells his coworkers we’re "dating," but we have NEVER had a real date outside my apartment

I met this guy two weeks ago. We hung out that same night, went to a bar, and ended up hooking up.

Since then, we’ve been seeing each other pretty often, but here’s what’s confusing me

We never go on actual dates. We only hang out at my place. We watch movies, play games, and just stay in. He also ate the food I already had at my place, and I cooked for him once, which felt a bit weird since we’re not even officially dating.

At the same time, he’s done things that make me question it. He took me to his workplace and said he wanted to introduce me to his coworkers. One of his coworkers told me he talks about me a lot, and they all said he’s a really nice guy. Apparently, he even told one of his coworker that we’re dating. He also mentioned going on a trip together next month.

But he’s never tried to define the relationship, and he doesn’t make effort to take me out or plan real dates.

Today he said he would come over early at my place, and I kind of hinted that we always just stay at my place. After that, he asked what I wanted to do but didn’t really suggest anything different, and later said he can’t come today because of his work.

I just don’t understand what this is. It feels like he likes me and he said he likes me, but also like he’s just enjoying the convenience.

I’m not sure how to handle this lack of effort. Has anyone experienced something similar, and how should I approach this conversation with him?
