Is it just me or would this movie be very different if it came out today?

I mean... probably a plot based on self-acceptance? Because honestly the Beast is way handsomer than the fairly generic prince he turns into. And also the plot is already about learning to love someone based on who they are rather than how they look, it's just the next step in that process.
