ABOLC Ranger slots

How many Ranger School slots are available for each ABOLC class? What can I do to give myself a better chance? Should I be shooting for Commandant's List in order to get a slot?

Of course I will be aiming to do well regardless in the course as a starry eyed LT. Was not able to find anything on the Fort Benning website regarding this except that Ranger was highly encouraged for those with ABCT/SBCT as a first duty station and mandatory for IBCT as a first duty station. I am most likely going to be in an ABCT although I don't know yet.
