LORs for 2 gap years

I recently decided to switch from 1 gap year to 2, and I'll apply next year. I'm a current second-semester senior, and I asked most of my teachers for LORs during the fall semester, and none of them have submitted them to Interfolio yet. I'm unsure how to handle this situation, and I've seen mixed opinions online (asking them to submit now but date them for next year, follow up next year...). Is anyone in the same situation or have any advice?
