How do you deal with a loud coworker (JPMC Plano office)?

I’m dealing with a frustrating situation at the JPMC Plano office and could really use some advice.

There’s one colleague who isn’t part of my team but sits right near our section. They’re consistently loud, talking a lot, laughing, and having long conversations, which makes it really hard to focus throughout the day.

The tricky part is that they don’t report to my manager, so I’m not sure what the best way to handle it is. I don’t want to come across as confrontational or create tension, but it’s starting to frustrate a few of my team members as well.

Has anyone at JPMC (or a similar office setup) dealt with something like this? Did you address it directly, go through management, or just find ways to cope?
