Struggling to reach IELTS 6.5 – Should I switch to TOEFL? Need advice to improve my English score

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to get a scholarship to continue my studies, but I’m struggling with English proficiency exams. I always seem to get stuck around band 6, while most scholarships require at least 6.5 or higher.

I’ve taken the Duolingo test twice and scored 110, and I took IELTS once and got a 6. Now I’m considering taking the TOEFL instead.

I would really appreciate any advice on how to improve my English score, especially if you’ve been in a similar situation. What strategies, resources, or study plans helped you break past this level?
