Rejected from SpaceX, when to re-apply?

Just finished up an onsite spacex interview. They unfortunately said I missed it by a hair, and said they wanted me to gain a bit more experience and then talk again.

Not sure exactly what that timeline is? 6months? Has anyone been in this position before with them?

I have a decent job already lined up for when I graduate, however it is DoD. I don’t want to work for them long term, and I would feel bad having them sponsor a clearance and then I leave. I need to figure something out quick :( maybe a graduate internship
