Dating - ended things with a nice man

Been a single mom for 10 years and have been dating ever since. The man I just broke up with tonight was the nicest of them all but it was so boring, and he didn’t make an effort to plan fun dates. All we did for 6 months is dinner and sex. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. I’m an active person, love going to the city for galleries, coffee shops and walks. I told him that. I also told him I wanted to meet some of his family (not his daughter, too soon for that). But maybe a cousin or his dad. Nothing. He never made an effort to do anything but dinner and sex. It sucks because he’s a genuinely nice man. Compared to all the past guys in the past 10 years anyways! Don’t know if anyone can relate. This eternal dating sucks
