Is it safe to go into the backrooms without a hazmat suit

In the trailer people just walk around without hazmat suits, but doesn’t that get rid of the whole plot involving hazmat suits and bacteria monsters. If theres a lot of bacteria in the backrooms then I think it would be dangerous to be in the backrooms for to long before getting the flu and eventually dying.
