Am I overreacting for crying?

⚕️ health

Hello everyone, I’m (27F) and I’ve been very emotionally overwhelmed these past couple of months.

I live with my boyfriend (27M) and he’s not very comforting or empathetic when I’m upset. He tells me that he understands how I’m feeling, but I don’t think that he does. He tells me I’m overdramatic, I’m blowing things out of proportion, I’m crazy, I’m annoying him and that there are bigger problems happening in the world.

I have a couple issues on my plate, some that I can’t control. I’ll simplify everything so this post isn’t so long.

  1. Back in September, I bought a car and to this day, I haven’t received the title from the dealership I bought it from. But the dealership is closed now and the guy who sold it to me doesn’t answer my calls or texts.

I’ve been to the DMV and they told me it was out of their hands, I’ve called the police department, I’ve talked to attorneys, clerk of courts, everyone under the sun and nobody can help or they say it’s a loss because I only paid $4k.

  1. I caught my boyfriend talking to his ex behind my back and he was telling her how much he loved her and wanted to protect her and so much more. Then after I confronted him about it, he brushed it aside and he changed his phone password. He also has 2 phones btw, one is for work. He changed the passcode on that too.

This affects me a lot because on his phone, he had saved videos of them having sex. In abundance. So much, I felt physically ill.

P.S. unrelated but had to add- we’re also not intimate with each other, but he watches lots of porn.

He spends literally 12-17+ hours on his PC, giggling with strangers and even stays on voice chat with them all day, but he doesn’t spend time with me or talk to me.

On Valentine’s Day, we drove to micro centre to buy him PC parts worth $800+ (that a stranger on his discord encouraged him to upgrade) but he didn’t take me out or spend the day with me. He spent the right of the night building his PC.

  1. My dad asks me for money, knowing I don’t have a job (I just moved back to town and have a little money saved up after I had purchased my car) and I recently found out that he’s been using that money to buy gifts for a 19 year old employee that he favors at his job. He recently bought her an Apple Watch after asking me for money for his card, since it was over-drafted.

  2. My grandmother was recently (like 2 days ago) transferred to hospice from a rehabilitation center that she was staying at and she’s developed dementia, as well as her body is completely paralyzed. What’s upsetting is I wasn’t told exactly where they transferred her (I had talked to my father, but he’s very indifferent about the situation) and I would like to visit her before she passes.

  3. Because of my car situation, we use my boyfriend’s truck to commute everywhere and unfortunately, I was in an accident yesterday.

One minute he tells me “it’s not a big deal” and the next minute he’s being interrogative and telling me I must’ve been on my phone (I wasn’t, I used both hands to turn the steering wheel) or I must’ve been drinking (I was out to brunch with my mom and I wasn’t drinking, knowing I’d be driving).

But because of the accident, I can’t drive the truck to see my grandmother even if I knew where she was.

Maybe these things aren’t such a big deal and of course it could always be worse, but it’s all happening at the same time and overwhelming me.

I do have mental health issues, I am not in therapy, I am unmedicated, but have been all my life and I’d say it’s never been a problem.

I’m more calm and aware as an adult, but I do cry a lot because I’d rather cry alone than be angry or burden somebody else with my problems.

That being said, I have no one to talk to and no one who supports me, so I’ve been very much lost in my thoughts. I feel like I’m losing my mind.

Am I overreacting for crying about it all?
