Honest opinions about K-18?

I've been looking into trying the K-18 hair mask, but behind all the hype I've been seeing a lot of critique regarding hair health and feel after use. Quite a few people have said it escalated their split ends, breakage was climbing higher than it had been before use, hair was insanely dry afterwards, and that it's a bit of a red flag that you can't use conditioner when planning to use the product. I'm curious if there's any chance that those who have had these experiences used it incorrectly, or if it really is over-hyped. I have very dry, broken, damaged, and over dyed hair and don't need what little growth I do end up getting to fall off if I try it 😭 I'm wanting to know everyone's blunt experience with it so I know if I'm going to be wasting money

I'm also wondering if hair texture or porosity messes with the way the chemical penetrates the follicles?
