Mild periodontitis
I was diagnosed with mild periodontitis last year at the age of 23. I grew up not knowing how to take care of my teeth because nobody in my family or my parents know how to do so. I eventually went to the dentist after 10 years later and found out I have mild periodontitis. I lost my back molar which is in need of an implant. I feel so embarrassed as a woman because hygiene is important. I also had 8 cavities and it’s from all of the sugar. I regret not taking care of my teeth like flossing but I guess I should be proud of myself for fixing everything because my parents negelected my care overall. I just needed to vent because I felt embarrassed for myself. Nobody can really tell but I can. What are your thoughts about this? :( I know others have worse than I do but It just sucks.
