Points upgrade success! QF54 SIN-BNE 05th Apr

Had an economy flight booked Singapore-Brisbane last Sunday (Easter Sunday) and requested upgrade for 65.4k points. The flight leaves at 11.20pm and was delayed about 45 mins. I'M Silver and got up to points club plus this year and Gyoza said the flight was a good chance of getting U/G since I booked it a few weeks ago. Anyway got the notification the day before and quickly jumped on the app to change the seat to 2K. Still a bunch of empty seats up front at that stage but by the time of the flight the cabin was full. It's my second points upgrade with the first being an A380 to London a few years ago that gave me a taste for the high life. The A330-200 is a bit tired and Qantas need to sort their act out with China Airlines and MAS plying that route with A350s both of which I've flown in Business. Experience was fine. Good seat and I slept well. Pod was on the small side with quite a small screen and the aisle is quite narrow. Ventured to the economy area to visit my travling partners and it was chaos with peoples trays on the floor, blocked toilets and bad smells. Overall good use of points and makes all this grifting with vouchers, Qantas y wine, credit cards and playing the system as hard as possible worth it. Cheers to the group
