Zwift Workouts have “spotty” sync with Apple Health/Fitness/Strava/etc.
When I say “Zwift Workouts” I am specifically referring to the pre-designed timed Workouts, which I have just started getting into after many years of Zwift membership. Of my last 3 Workouts, only 1 synced to Apple Health/Fitness. Luckily I also wear the Apple Watch so it captures a rough approximation of calories I burned. The Apple Watch knows in real time based on my heart rate that I’m working out, it just doesn’t know what exercise I’m doing. Zwift is supposed to sync after the Workout and tell Apple I was cycling and tell it the exact power and calories I’ve burned. Zwift literally says it’s syncing at the end but I check my devices and nothing! It just skips the sync sometimes! I see the same pattern of spottiness in how it uploads to Strava, which syncs directly with Zwift (ie Strava data does not have to first come through Apple Health/Fitness). I don’t actively use Strava, but just sharing this data point to further demonstrate that the issue is a bug with how Zwift Workouts sync, NOT with my Apple devices or settings.
Therefore PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME TO PLAY WITH MY APPLE SETTINGS!
FYI, my robopacer rides always synced just fine. So this is specifically an issue with Workouts.
Just venting here, because at $20/mo I should be able to sync my workouts and show off for all my workout friends. Each and every time.
Zwift, please fix!
