I tested filming UGC in my kitchen vs a “studio” setup — the results surprised me
I’ve been testing different filming setups for UGC lately and honestly… the “less perfect” setups are outperforming the clean ones.
Kitchen content (natural light, real-life feel) consistently performs better than anything that looks too staged.
Same with filming in my car — quick, casual clips feel way more native to TikTok/Reels.
I’ve noticed this especially with product/tech content — the more it feels like real life, the better it performs.
Curious if anyone else is seeing this shift toward less polished content?
