Those of you who've organized a golf scramble. How did you handle collecting entry fees from everyone?

Running one for the first time this summer with ~30 people, $40/head. Trying to figure out the least painful way to collect from everyone beforehand. Did you use Venmo? PayPal? Cash at the door? What was the nightmare scenario?
