studying actuarial subjects overseas

hi im aware about the exemption marks that can be obtained by studying actuarial studies at unimelb. however i recently received an offer to study statistics (mast20005) overseas and wondered if this would be ok for me to do? i have never been overseas before and would love to study abroad so would it matter if i did the subject but didn't receive the exemption marks?
