how do i handle rent collected from my partner?

i’ve asked customer service reps from the filing service and am not getting clear answers, also didn’t see anything specifically relevant in this subreddit so hopefully not a repeat question. thanks for your help!

how do i report rental income for a home that i also reside in full time? i solely own the home and live in it 365 days of the year, and i collect rent from my partner who lives here full time as well. i’m trying to file it under "schedule e rent" but the number of days the property was rented and days it was used for personal purposes are both 365, and their sum can only be 365.

customer service said to calculate it by square footage. i asked if that means 50% since we share a bedroom and everything else is a shared space (ex., kitchen), they said no and repeated to calculate the square footage. i’m not sure how to proceed?
