Story highlights the failure of mind to REASON at least once. No decision is to be made at the very first sight. Second day also when she saw this young man being found asleep, her mind should have suspected something wrong, and asked God Zeus and HE should have told her this man is under a curse of eternal sleep because he fell in love with wife of someone else, thus she should have gained control over her mind.

Control over mind is a CHOICE
