DPDR

Substance-Induced DPDR (Weed / Psychedelics / THC)

I just want to tell everyone here that I went through this:

one of the scariest periods of my life after a bad experience with weed. It triggered constant anxiety, panic attacks, depression, dizziness, heart palpitations, and this horrible feeling of being disconnected from reality. Some days I felt normal, but most days were heavy, like I was stuck in my own head, scared I was losing control or going crazy. I even had moments of hopeless thoughts and felt completely drained.

I think mindset is a big part of getting through this: face your fears (you won’t win every time), avoid drugs and alcohol, start living in the moment, appreciate the little things, and GET BUSY — don’t spend all day thinking about it. And the main thing is believing that you are going to recover. You’re not going to die or lose your mind.

After 7 months, I started seeing a lot of change. The feelings slowly faded, and my old life started coming back. Now it’s been almost a year, and I can say I’ve fully overcome DPDR. Time alone doesn’t fix everything — sometimes it takes more, sometimes less — but you have to stay consistent.

I’m sharing this just to give you some hope. I wish you all get through this....🤍
