Underrated advice I got before moving into an apartment

Even in a fully furnished apartment, you're gonna want to go crazy on the decor. Don't do it yet! Slowly buy some nice things over time that you're gonna be happy to have in your space. Good things take time (and money!)

Get a trash can with a lid. I know they're pricey, but if you're slow to get the trash taken out, you won't be hanging out with your trash all out in the open.

Getting sick is an absolute pain in the butt and even worse when you're living alone. Buy the sick stuff in advance (cold and flu meds, soup, cough drops, ibuprofen, all of that). The last thing you wanna do is have to drag yourself to the store when you're sick.
